Physical Therapy Assistant

Melissa was born and raised here in Spokane, WA. After graduating from Mt. Spokane High School she attended and graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a B.A. in Psychology. Following a few years of working as a therapy aide she came back to Spokane to attend the Spokane Falls Community College program for Physical Therapist Assistants and graduated in 2011.

Her career began while working at an inpatient rehabilitation setting with various diagnoses from neurological pathologies, cardiac recovery, amputations and traumatic fractures. This has provided her with valuable skills in neurological re-education, treatment of acute surgical joints and complex patients. She has been expanding her knowledge in women’s health treatment to include oncological care and pelvic floor health.

As a mom she is finding joy in spending time with her family. Together they enjoy a weekly running club, soccer date nights, traveling and constant laughs. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest provided Melissa the perfect environment for snow skiing, water sports, gardening and soccer, which continue to keep her busy in her free time.
